Our Story
Building America’s Next Innovators
The concept of “brain drain” was first coined in 1963 by the British Royal Society to describe the migration of talented scientists and technologists to North America and Canada. Today, that same phenomenon unfolds on a new scale as displacement, driven by war, repression, and instability around the world, sends talented individuals fleeing toward new opportunities. We help them connect with U.S. industries hungry for innovation.
Brain Drain Unlimited was born in late 2022 when Russian‑born activist Konstantin Samoilov, who fled political persecution, connected with U.S. business veteran Manus MacLean. Konstantin’s journey – from leaving Russia amid authoritarian crackdowns to resettling in Uzbekistan alongside millions of displaced Ukrainians and Russians – revealed a shared conviction:
America benefits immeasurably by welcoming talented refugees.
Manus brought four decades of expertise in helping newcomers navigate U.S. legal, financial, and professional systems. Together, they built Brain Drain Unlimited to bridge the gap between displaced talented individuals’ skills and U.S. opportunities.
