Language is Power

At Brain Drain Unlimited, we believe language should never be the barrier that stops a skilled immigrant from rebuilding their life in the U.S. That’s why we’re honored to announce our new partnership with the IHM Center for Literacy, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit providing English language education with heart, dignity, and proven results.

Through this partnership, Brain Drain clients will have access to extremely low-cost, high-quality ESL classes – offered by a community of dedicated educators and sisters who have been serving immigrant families for over 30 years. The IHM Center has helped thousands of adults gain the confidence and fluency needed to navigate daily life, access employment, and engage more fully with their communities.

For many of our applicants – STEM professionals, engineers, healthcare workers, and entrepreneurs – fluency is not just about conversation. It’s about clearing one of the final hurdles to re-entering the workforce and contributing fully to their new home. The IHM Center’s personalized and compassionate approach makes this journey faster, smoother, and more human.

In addition to ESL support, the IHM Center is also generously offering Brain Drain occasional use of their space in Philadelphia for meetings, orientation sessions, and community-building events. This means more face-to-face time, better service delivery, and a continued deepening of our East Coast presence.

We are incredibly grateful to the sisters, staff, and volunteers at the IHM Center for Literacy – not only for their generosity, but for their alignment with our mission: to support displaced, educated professionals from Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Russia in their legal relocation to the United States.
