The ninth of ten children and a father of five, Manus draws on a lifetime of lived experience to guide his work, particularly in immigration and advocacy for vulnerable populations. Known for his deep listening, steady leadership, and unwavering commitment to justice, he believes success is measured by how many people you help along the way. With a passion for building systems that serve people, Manus continues to inspire through both his professional impact and personal integrity.
Manus is certified in Immigration Trial Advocacy through Villanova University’s Interdisciplinary Immigration Studies Training for Advocates (VIISTA). This credential reflects advanced training in immigration law, trauma-informed care, case preparation, and courtroom advocacy, strengthening Brain Drain’s capacity to provide skilled, ethical legal support to displaced professionals facing complex immigration challenges.

My name is Konstantin Samoilov. I’m a Russian‑born activist and host of the Inside Russia YouTube channel who fled political persecution in 2022. Settling first in Uzbekistan alongside millions displaced by conflict, I witnessed firsthand how talented professionals lose everything. I co‑founded Brain Drain Unlimited to turn that loss into opportunity – helping conflict‑displaced experts restart their lives and drive U.S. innovation.
Thomas McPhail Beretich
Thomas McPhail Beretich is a member of the Board of Directors, contributing a unique blend of technical, managerial, and legal expertise to its operations.
Mr. Beretich holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and an MBA from Tulane University. His academic work includes publications in epidemiology, direct marketing analytics, and the intersection of innovation and legal policy.
Following his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Maine School of Law and bar admissions in 2022, Thomas Beretich established his own firm, Beretich Law, LLC, in Maine.
His multidisciplinary background allows him to apply a broad analytical approach to complex organizational and legal matters, making him a valuable advisor on the Board.
Tamara Bogatova
Tamara Bogatova is a dedicated legal professional with over 16 years of extensive experience in Russian and International Law, specializing in public, corporate, and IP matters.
A graduate of the North-West Academy of Public Administration, Tamara has a proven track record in Russia as a Senior Legal Counsel, managing legal departments and demonstrating expertise in contractual documentation and court representation for major logistics and real estate firms.
As a Board Member and Director of Compliance at Brain Drain Unlimited (BDU), Tamara provides vital advisory, compliance, and operational structure. Leveraging her deep expertise, she ensures the organization maintains structural integrity and effective workflows. Her role is crucial in streamlining communications between Russian-speaking applicants and the US-based team, ensuring clarity and operational compliance.
Tamara’s background, including personal experience with displacement, allows her to deeply understand the legal and compliance needs of BDU’s clients.

Natalia Samoilova is a highly accomplished mentor and coach specialising in empowering entrepreneurs and individuals navigating significant professional and personal transitions. With 18 years of proven experience in managing and scaling her own business – Marketing agency – including work with multinational corporations and establishing a multi-city branch network. She brings deep practical expertise in growth strategies.
Her extensive coaching credentials include over 500 hours of personal and group coaching practice. Natalia is adept at fostering confidence and providing strategic guidance, enabling clients to successfully launch projects, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals.
A dedicated advocate for social impact, she has also served on the Board of Trustees for the Charitable Foundation in Russia since 2009. Natalia’s unique blend of entrepreneurial leadership, coaching mastery, and inspiring approach makes her an invaluable asset for driving individual and organizational success.
